Jesi (AN) – Former Eridania Sadam sugar refinery – Building of 3 medium size commercial structures

The Conversion Agreement between the Marches region, the province of Ancona, the municipality of Jesi, the workers’ trade unions, Eridania Sadam S.p.A. and Seci Real Estate S.p.A, aims to creating new industrial and commercial structures for the total relocation of the former Eridania Sadam sugar refinery workers in Jesi, in two phases:

  • 1st phase: building of three medium size commercial structures, each with a sales surface of 2,500 sqm and competence authorizations exclusively on behalf of the town council
  • 2nd phase: building of a retail park, with a sales surface of 30,000 sqm, next to the above-mentioned structures, following competence authorization on behalf of the region and province.

The approx 420,000 sqm area belonging to Eridania Sadam is located in Monsano, 4 km north-east of the centre of Jesi, a small town of approx 40,000 inhabitants, near the S.P. 76. It is located by the exit 19 (Monsano) of the S.S. 76, a 4-lane freeway which connects Fabriano to the Ancona north exit along the A14 (at approx 7.5 km).
The project foresees the construction of the first three buildings within the lot belonging to Eridania, each with dedicated access from the road joining onto the roundabout at the crossroads between the S.P.76 and Via della Barchetta.

The Jesi General Town Planning Scheme is already complying with the building of the three medium size sales structures. Building permits and authorization requests for the three medium size buildings have been deposited at the town hall of Jesi, and are now in the process of being issued (authorization expected by September 2012).
